Martin Sheen California Kid Flame 34 Ford

Martin Sheen California Kid Flame '34 Ford
Pete and Jakes did this famous custom. It
has steel red wheels in the movie, but in life it
has Halibrand Mags at all four corners. Enjoy
the movie and this custom. 1974 Movie, and
you can still see The California Kid Flamed
1934 Ford Today. Last time I heard it was at
The Antique Ford, which they say is in the city
of Sacramento. However, it is really Rancho-
Cordova California, where all the auto shops
are. I would advise you to sign up for the
Antique Ford Newsletter to your email
     address.
They cover custom cars, pictures, video, also
shows, but also tell you when they have swap
meets. It was here they had The California Kid
and other customs. Want flamed tall inflatable
chairs to sit in, or 1/18 Hot Wheels Tom Daniel
die cast models, and more goodies for your hot
rod? Then come buy from them, either mail
order, or come visit them. (The movie was
    taken off YouTube.)

ABC Hot Rod Willy's Movie Made 1979

ABC Hot Rod Willys Movie Made 1979
I remember watching ABC movie, that  was called Hot Rod
a movie about drag racing a primered grey 1941 Willys.
There were also five spoke mags on the rear.
There is also a car show of nostalgia of dragsters that looked
like coming out of a 1960's time capsule.
The movie  towards the end drags against the Oldsmobile
Cutlass  Supreme with two four barrel carburetors and two
velocity stacks. The Willys has a Hemi that came out of a '65
Belvedere and two four barrels. The rear mags are noticeable
American Racing 200S Five Spoke Mags Unfinished type. Two
stock steel wheels in front painted factory black. When he
races against the Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, he now has a
671-GMC blower with three a injector scoop.

There is pretty lady dragging a primer
gray '41 Willys, and one Stone, Woods & Cook
  '41 Willys. Enjoy These videos.

In 1968 Mercury Cougar Elminator Was Dyno Don's Funny Car

                              In 1968 Mercury Cougar Eliminator
                                   Was Dyno Don's Funny Car
In 1968 Mercury Cougar All New Eliminator was Dyno Don's
new  bright red, like ruby red ,funny car.It had custom graphic
pin striping in the sides of hard top area. The hood area, and also
    the trunk area.
A built amt Cougar Eliminator  Funny Car is on Ebay. Here
    are the pictures.Coca Cola,STP,Autolight,Mercury,and many
other sponsors are shown on the car. This is from Ebay if you
want bid on it.(The pictures of this built car are pictures number
5 ,6,7,8,9,10).The professional Mercury Cougar Eliminator II
    doesn't have the decals,but  is painted correctly.(Pictures 1-4)
Also the glass top for the model is from a third buyer. is a
    picture number 11.
I not saying the other two don't have the glass.
This the second dealer, professional brushed painted but no
decals. There are many cottage model industries that can
make matching decals. This the one for my money.
I added you tube videos of what I could find. Some of these
might not be the exact cars,or earlier, but I thought you'd
like to see them. (Round 2 came this model Mpc in the
original box art. Check your Hobby Lobby.)

Dyno Don's Eliminator II Mercury Comet Cyclone Blown Funny Car amt Model Car Is On Ebay

Dyno Don's Eliminator II Mercury Comet Cyclone
Blown Funny Car Amt Model Kit Is On Ebay
If you want Dyno Don's Eliminator II Mercury
Comet Cyclone Blown Funny Car AMT Model Kit,
then put your bid in now, before, somone else buys it.
Here are the pictures.I noticed minor, painting. The
engine is red,and the dash board is gold.It seems
everything else is not painted. Here are the pictures.
Also I notice parts of the roll bar is painted gold.
Unlike Eliminator I ,this Funny Car,doesn't had a
    tilting body,but is,like a stock car,made into a
factory funny car.It doesn't have a full tubular
frame is Eliminator I.To me this more like a drag
    car,then a true Funny Car.This has a front tune
clip frame.Anyway it is cool, and a very important
    part of history.
In 1967 Mercury Cougar STP Funny Car was
Dyno Don's next Funny Car.It was the new car to
unveil to the public.Let check my files, and I show
amt's model of that car too.  That last set of cool
decal's by looking at the picture are, from the real
car. Why,they are too big,and are on Ebay too.
Also,it is great to know this as amt's model kit has
Eliminator II in gold, and the others in white. This
is not correct,as you see with model, also all the
decals are gold.To use these digital decal pictures,
have two things,a colored ink jet printer, and buy
decal sheets from a online office supply store,or
a company you know, that still carries decal sheets
that work with a ink jet printer.Have fun.I here to
share my results, and entertain you at the same
  time.

Dyno Don's Eliminator 1 1966 Mercy Comet Cyclone Funny Car

                             Dyno Don's Eliminator 1 1966
                       Mercury Comet Cyclone Funny Car
The whole idea was to make a sleeper against those other
pro drag racers in their funny cars. In Fraiser Michigan they
went to Ron and Gene Logghe, those brothers would build a
1966 Mercury Comet Funny Car Dyno Don's Eliminator 1
    They started with 11 1/2-inch x.049-inch wall chrome-moly
main tubes. This supplementary 3/4-inch x.030-inch wall
    pieces with1 1/4-inch x.030-inch wall square spreaders.
1 7/8-inch x.125 wall roll cage. Everything was simplified. It
    had a straight 2 1/8-inch heat-treated chrome moly front
axle(125-inch) wall fabricated. A pair of Logghe spindles
added. Four parallel 3/4-inch radius rods position the needed
Auto lite coil-shocks to suspend it in place. The drag link and
tie rods are of the same metal and design for Ford I-beam
axle to provide proper Ackerman. A Watts link is to position
rear-end, the duty Merc with shortened tubes keep the slicks
inside the body. The Daytona rear-end 1/2-inch square tubes
composed traction truss. Daytona-hybrid features nodular
castings with regular grey iron. The differential been fitted
with a Detroit Automotive rachet-locking device. The third
member assembly embodies larger carrier bearings for the
beating it takes. Auto lite shocks are similar to the front,
and they have a high resistance jounce control and also low
resistance rebound. This aids in weight transfer since there
is no ballast hanging behind the rear axle. Traction bars are
truss type fabricated from 1 1/4-inch square with .100 inch
wall. The shorten axle halves are shorten heavy-duty units
with experimental Kelsey-Hayes Research and Development
vented brake rotors(discs) fastened to the flanges.
A Dye-pack facing, sprayed on this specialty prepared
aluminum rotor then baked to form a bond with the metal.
Mustang-type calipers and beefed-up castings, dual pistons
with 11 square inches brake linings per wheel. The chute is
a Deist cross form for stopping. Dyno Don will take hold of
the wood rimmed Covieo steering wheel. A small steering box
by P&S with 9.1 ratio to the Good Year nylon 2-ply-tires, and
Hilbrand's. The Girling designed master cylinder, he will use
the Kelsey-Hayes break handle to help it to a sudden stop.
The Hurst positive shifter T-10 aluminum 4 speed ratios 2.20,
a box exchange experimental 2 speed automatic, and also the
Ford 4 speed by swapping tube cross members. A aluminum
clutch pedal and mechanical linkage work long dual disc
brakes, and has two 11-inch discs. The pressure plate coil
spring carries 1600 max load. Long flywheel is nodular
iron work with disc and organic face. Micky Thompson
invented the overhead cam 427 SOHC Hemi engine. But
their own designer from Lincoln Mercury brought this engine
out especially for this car. Mallory supplies the spark for
this car. Kays Industries Detroit Headers fabricated them
from stainless steel. The runners are 32 inches long. They
gather in 4-inch diameter 12-inch collectors. Plastigage
Corporation Detroit Michigan used an engineering style
to make the mold. The complete body weighs only 250
pounds. It has 1/8-inch side windows, 3/16-inch windshield,
and back light is installed. 5 glass-plywood bulkheads are
for strength 1/2 inch.x.20-inch steel tubes for stiffening.
Entrance through driver side window. Since the cars use
non-flex-i- wall M&H slicks10.00x15 rely on low weight
to get through the gate. The chassis and engine weight is
1380 pounds. Isn't this pretty funny car. The idea was to
build a car, and just by looking at it would appear stock.
You are in for a ride if This Secret Weapon is let loose on
the strip. This is one beautiful cool Pearl Tangerine was
painted by Paul Shedlik, in Talor Michigan. This Secret
Weapon Eliminator 1 1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone
No wonder why they called it The Eliminator 1. It has
Hemi sports Crane Cams, M/T pistons used with Dykes
type Power-Loc rings, Hilborn injection. The car weighs
1600 pounds, which will do 175 MPH with no computers.
The Halibrand mags go nicely with the rear slicks,
as the pro Dyno Don drags with team of drag racers, with
three other Mercury Comet Cyclones, and roadster version.
with a blower, that goes quicker than this car. Still for the
unblown class, this was made for its intended purpose, as
this secret weapon plows to the finish line.
